Features

An overview of Brand Peel's local-first brand workflow and creative tools.

Features

Brand Peel combines five connected workspaces for developing a brand, refining its design system, prototyping branded experiences, generating images, and managing the resulting files.

Your projects and generated resources are stored on your device. Your Brand Peel account is used for authentication, credits, and AI usage rather than for cloud project storage.

Brand Creator

Start with a streaming AI conversation about your product, audience, and direction. The Brand Creator turns that conversation into three reviewable documents:

  • Brand Identity
  • Visual Identity
  • Brand Guidelines

You can edit documents, compare revisions, accept or discard changes, attach reference files, regenerate responses, and move between response versions. The same workspace contains logo direction generation and a node-based logo variation builder.

Design Editor

Turn a visual identity into a working light-and-dark theme. The Design Editor includes:

  • Color, typography, radius, and shadow controls
  • Built-in and locally saved custom presets
  • WCAG 2.2 contrast checks and automatic fixes
  • Component, text, palette, code, and design-system previews
  • Theme import and CSS export

It becomes available when the active project has a theme or after any project has finished setup.

Design Sandbox

Use the current project as context for branded prototypes. The Sandbox supports six targets:

  • Websites
  • React Email
  • React PDF
  • React Native
  • Ink terminal interfaces
  • React Three Fiber scenes

Chat with the AI, edit the generated structure directly, inspect individual elements, compare revisions, preview the result, and export target-specific source files. The Sandbox is available as soon as a project is active.

Resource Generator

Generate standalone images from a prompt using Nano Banana, Imagen 4 Ultra, or Nano Banana Pro. Choose a supported resolution and aspect ratio, then download the result or revisit it in the local generation library.

The Resource Generator does not automatically add your current brand documents or theme to the prompt. Include any brand-specific colors, visual direction, or constraints you want the model to follow.

History

History brings project management and generated resources together. You can:

  • Open, rename, select, and delete brand projects
  • Browse project logos and standalone generated images
  • Search names, prompts, logo directions, or text detected inside images
  • Sort and filter resources
  • Hide logos or permanently delete selected files

How the workflow connects

  1. Create or select a project in the Brand Creator.
  2. Develop and approve the three brand documents through conversation.
  3. Use the Design Sandbox whenever you want to explore branded prototypes.
  4. Apply a valid theme from the Visual Identity document to open the Design Editor, or finish setup after accepting all three documents.
  5. Finishing setup marks the local project complete and unlocks the Resource Generator.
  6. Find projects, logos, and generated images in History.
  7. Use Export in the Brand Creator to write the project's documents, theme, and kept logos to a folder you choose.
Finishing setup is a local project status change. It does not publish your brand or its files to a public service.
