Brand Creator
Build brand documents, themes, and logo directions through an AI conversation.
Brand Creator
The Brand Creator is the starting point for each project. Describe what you are building, share useful context, and use the AI conversation to develop a brand identity you can review and refine.
The conversation, drafts, attachments, documents, theme, logos, and logo workspace are saved with the project on your device.
Start or continue a project
Create a project from the sidebar, or select an existing one to continue its conversation. A project starts as a draft and keeps its own chat history and unsent message draft.
You can begin with a simple description:
I am launching a sustainable skincare line for people in their twenties. I want it to feel fresh, honest, and premium without being pretentious.
Add details about your audience, differentiators, tone, visual references, and constraints as the conversation develops.
Work with chat responses
Responses stream into the conversation. For each completed assistant response, you can:
- Copy the text
- Read it aloud with a system voice
- Regenerate it
- Move between generated versions
- Continue the conversation from the selected version
You can stop a response while it is streaming. Voice, speed, and pitch for read-aloud are configured under Settings → Customization.
Attach reference material
Use the paperclip button, drag files onto the composer, or paste an image from the clipboard.
Supported image formats are AVIF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, and WebP. Supported text files include TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and log files.
| Limit | Maximum |
|---|---|
| Each image | 4 MiB |
| Each text file | 48 KiB |
| All attachments in one message | 8 MiB |
Attachments are sent as context with the conversation. Keep briefs focused so the most relevant information is easy for the AI to use.
The three brand documents
The document panel contains three brand documents and a separate Logo tab.
| Document | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Brand Identity | The project's purpose, audience, positioning, personality, and strategic direction |
| Visual Identity | The intended color, typography, imagery, and visual-system direction |
| Brand Guidelines | Practical voice, messaging, and usage guidance |
If a document is missing, use its Create action to request it directly from the AI.
Review and edit
For each document, you can:
- View rendered Markdown or source
- Open it in a full-screen editor
- Compare a revision with the previous content
- Make your own edits
- Accept the current document or pending edits
- Reject pending changes or discard your edits
Accepting a document marks the current version as approved for setup. It does not permanently lock the content.
Apply the project theme
When the Visual Identity document contains a valid Brand Peel theme, its preview shows Setup Theme. This saves the theme to the project, applies it to the Design Editor, and opens the editor.
Themes contain light and dark color tokens together with typography and base design settings. You can refine them later without having to finish project setup first.
Generate and refine logos
Open the Logo tab in the document panel. It has two modes.
Prompt
Brand Peel uses the available Brand Identity, Visual Identity, and Brand Guidelines content to propose batches of logo directions. You can:
- Browse earlier and later direction batches
- Regenerate a new batch
- Select a direction
- Create and switch between edited prompt variants
- Generate a square logo from the selected direction
- Keep or reject generated logos, with an optional rejection note
Each direction request returns four concepts and uses one chat unit or trial credit. Rendering a selected direction is a separate Nano Banana 1K image generation and uses one Standard Quality image unit or trial credit.
Node Builder
Drag kept logos onto a canvas and create prompted variations from them. A variation can use the source logo and the active theme colors as context. The canvas, connections, and generated variations are saved with the project.
The Node Builder is intended for variation workflows; it is not a general vector drawing application.
Finish setup
After all three documents are accepted, Finish Setup becomes available. Finishing setup:
- Changes the local project status from draft to complete.
- Unlocks the Resource Generator.
- Makes the Design Editor available even if the project does not yet contain a theme.
The Design Sandbox only requires an active project, so you can use it before finishing setup.
Export the brand package
Use Export in the Brand Creator header and choose a destination folder. Brand Peel writes whichever project assets currently exist:
- identity.md
- visual.md
- guidelines.md
- theme.css and theme.json
- Non-rejected logo PNG files as
assets/logo-<id>.png - A .brand-peel-export.json marker used to identify future replacements safely
Brand Peel will not overwrite an unrelated folder. Replacing an earlier export requires confirmation and only works when the destination can be identified as an export of the same project.
Next steps
- Design Editor — refine the theme
- Design Sandbox — turn the brand into prototypes
- Resource Generator — generate standalone images
- Export and local data — understand exported files and storage
