First Steps
Create a brand project, generate its documents, and finish setup.
First Steps
This guide follows the current project workflow from authentication through a completed local brand setup.
Sign in or create an account
Brand Peel opens on the authentication screen when there is no active session:
- Choose Start free trial to register with your name, email address, and password
- Choose Sign in if you already have an account
An eligible account and device receive a one-time balance of 5 starter credits. The grant is not guaranteed for an account or machine that has claimed it before; see Credits and Usage.
Create a project
- Select New Brand in the sidebar
- Enter a name in the New Brand Project dialog
- Select Create Brand
A non-empty name is required. Brand Peel creates the local project immediately, makes it active, and opens Brand Creator.
Design Sandbox is also available as soon as a project is active, so you can prototype a website, email, PDF, mobile screen, terminal interface, or 3D scene before brand setup is complete.
Start the Brand Creator chat
Describe the product, organization, or idea and the brand qualities you want. For example:
I am building a productivity app for freelancers. It should feel calm, professional, and trustworthy.
You can attach supported image or text files when they provide useful context. Brand Peel streams the assistant response and saves both sides of the conversation to the active local project.
The document panel contains four tabs:
- Brand Identity — mission, vision, values, positioning, audience, and voice
- Visual Identity — colors, typography, spacing, and visual direction
- Brand Guidelines — practical rules for applying the identity consistently
- Logo — generated logo directions and retained logo assets
As the assistant creates or updates the three brand documents, they appear in their corresponding tabs. If a document is still empty, open its tab and use the Create action to request it directly.
Each Brand Creator response or separate document-generation request consumes one starter credit or one Chat Messages quota unit.
Review the documents
Open each generated document in the document panel. You can:
- Read the rendered Markdown or switch to its source view
- Open a fullscreen editor and make manual changes
- Compare a generated revision with the previous content
- Accept a new document or revision
- Reject a generated revision to restore the previous content
- Accept Edits or Discard Edits after editing manually
On the Visual Identity tab, Setup Theme parses the generated theme block, applies it to the Design Editor, and opens the editor. This can make the Design Editor available before the overall project setup is finished.
Finish setup
The Finish Setup button remains disabled until Brand Identity, Visual Identity, and Brand Guidelines all contain accepted content. Once all three are accepted:
- Select Finish Setup in the Brand Creator top bar
- The project status changes from draft to published
- The button changes to Setup Complete
- Resource Generator becomes available in the sidebar
The Design Editor is available after setup is complete as well as when a theme has already been set up. Design Sandbox does not require completed setup; it only requires an active project.
published, but Finish Setup does not upload the project or make it public. It only records that local setup is complete.Continue working
Brand Peel saves the project locally throughout the workflow, not only when setup is finished. After setup is complete, you can:
- Return to the project from History
- Refine light and dark theme tokens in the Design Editor
- Generate standalone images in Resource Generator and continue logo work in the Brand Creator's Logo tab
- Generate and revise branded experiences in Design Sandbox
- Select Export in Brand Creator to create a shareable project package
