History
Manage local brand projects, logos, and generated images in one place.
History
History is the management view for local projects and generated resources. It has separate Brand Projects and Generated Resources tabs.
Brand Projects
Project cards show the project name, a Draft or Created badge, message count, and last-updated time. From this tab you can:
- Open a project in the Brand Creator
- Rename a project
- Select one or more projects
- Permanently delete selected projects
Use search to filter by project name, Recent to show projects changed today, and the sort menu to order by date or name.
Generated Resources
This tab combines two kinds of local files:
- Kept logos, grouped by their brand project
- Standalone images from the Resource Generator
Use the type filter to show All, Brand Logos, or Generated Assets. Resources can be sorted by date or name and limited to items created today.
Search prompts and image contents
Resource search has two optional sources:
- Prompts — image prompts, logo prompts and directions, and the logo's project name
- OCR — text detected inside the saved image
You can enable either source independently. OCR results are built locally when OCR search is enabled.
OCR support
OCR is available in the desktop builds for Windows, macOS, and Linux:
- Windows and macOS use packaged native OCR helpers.
- Linux uses a packaged offline Tesseract model for English text and image orientation.
The app reads the local image file for recognition; it does not upload the image to an OCR service.
Select and clean up resources
Selection mode supports bulk actions:
- Standalone generated images can be permanently deleted.
- Logos can be hidden, which marks them as rejected but keeps their local project record and image, or deleted permanently.
Open an individual logo or generated image to view its recorded prompt and generation details and download the image.
Local storage behavior
History reflects files in Brand Peel's local data directory. Removing a file outside the app or editing the data files manually can make a History entry unavailable or invalid.
The sidebar's Info → Export Data action opens that raw data directory; it does not create a backup archive. Use the Brand Creator's Export action when you want a readable folder containing a project's documents, theme, and kept logos.
